The Columbus Grove American Legion is sponsoring three junior students to attend Buckeye Girls State and Buckeye Boys State this upcoming June. Buckeye Girls State and Boys State are week-long “government in action” experiences designed to educate students about city, county, and state government operations. Participants, known as delegates, focus on developing leadership skills and engage in campaigning, political party activities, debates, legislative sessions, and voting.  The students attending are Avery Birnesser, Simon Zimmerly, and Cobain Perry.
