This week, in honor of Veteran’s Day, we were proud to welcome several Columbus Grove Veterans into our school to lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

We would like to recognize: 

Mr. Todd Hoffman who served in the US Marines from 1986-1992 as a Hawk Missile Systems Operator.  He served in the Persian Gulf War.  

Mr. Nick Gilgenbach who served in the Military Police for the US Army from 2000-2002. 

Mr. Doug Alt who served in the US Marines from 1987-1991 and earned the rank of Corporal E-4.

 

Mr. Jody Sharrits who served in the Army's Airborne Infantry Unit as a scout in the 19th Delta Airborne from 1990-1993.

Mr. Cliff Collar who served in the US Marine Corps. 

Mr. Jon Witteborg who served in the Army Reserves from 1988-1994. 

We are grateful for their service, their sacrifice, and the example they set for our students. Moments like these remind us of the importance of gratitude, community, and the freedoms we enjoy because of our Veterans.
