Brennen competes in wrestling, a sport he has been involved in for the past five years. Over that time, he has earned a spot at the varsity level and continues to push himself to improve each season.
One of Brennen’s recent accomplishments includes competing at the varsity level, and he is striving to become a four-time varsity wrestler — a goal that reflects his commitment and consistency in the program.
Outside of wrestling, Brennen stays active in several organizations. He is involved in 4-H, Leo Club, and NHS (National Honor Society), demonstrating leadership and dedication beyond athletics.
When asked about his favorite part of wrestling, Brennen shared that he enjoys going to the meets, where the competition, team atmosphere, and excitement make all the hard work worthwhile.
Looking ahead, Brennen’s personal goal is to become a four-time varsity wrestler, while his team goal is winning the NWC (Northwest Conference) — a testament to his competitive drive and commitment to team success.
A fun fact about Brennen? He enjoys building Legos in his free time!
We’re proud of Brennen’s accomplishments and can’t wait to see what he achieves next. Congratulations, Brennen — and best of luck the rest of the season!
Athlete Spotlight: Nicole Nesby
Congratulations to this week’s Bulldog Athlete Spotlight, Nicole Nesby!
Nicole has put together a truly remarkable basketball career. She recently surpassed 1,000 career points and became the program’s all-time leading rebounder — two major milestones that place her among the best to ever wear a Bulldog jersey. Scoring 1,000 points is a testament to her consistency and offensive ability, while becoming the all-time leading rebounder highlights her toughness, work ethic, and determination in the paint.
Adding to an already incredible season, Nicole was named NWC Player of the Year and District 8 Player of the Year, recognizing her as one of the top players in the area. These honors reflect not only her individual performance but also the impact she has on every game she plays.
Nicole plays post and has been playing basketball since she was little, developing her skills and love for the game over the years. Beyond basketball, she is a multi-sport athlete competing in volleyball and track, and she is actively involved in National Honor Society, Student Council and Leo Club, demonstrating leadership in the classroom and community as well.
Her favorite part about basketball is playing with her team, and that team-first mentality shows in the way she competes. Looking ahead, Nicole’s goal is simple: win state — and with her leadership and drive, the Bulldogs have plenty to be excited about.
Congratulations, Nicole, on an outstanding career and an unforgettable season!
