Spotlight Athlete of the Week 9/12

Spotlight Athlete: Trevon Baxter
On the field, Trevon Baxter is a key player for the Bulldogs, making plays at wide receiver and safety. He’s been playing football since he was little, and this year, his hard work and dedication have earned him the role of team captain.
Trevon is more than just a football player—he also competes in track and basketball, showing his versatility as an athlete. What he enjoys most about football is the time spent “being with the guys” and building strong friendships through the game.
Personally, Trevon’s goal is to get healthy and continue pushing himself, while for his team, he hopes to help lead the Bulldogs on a long playoff run.
Fun fact: Trevon is ambidextrous! Looking to the future, this senior has big plans after high school—he wants to pursue a career in real estate.
Congratulations to Trevon on being named this week's spotlight athlete!
Spotlight Athlete: Devanie Pingle
Senior midfielder Devanie Pingle has been playing soccer for 11 years and is making a big impact for the Bulldogs with 4 goals and 1 assist this season. Off the field, she’s involved in track, Student Council, NHS, and Leo Club, showing her leadership in and out of the classroom.
Her favorite part of soccer is “being with the team,” and while she’s a natural playmaker, she admits she enjoys defense more than offense. Personally, Devanie’s goal is to earn First Team PCL and NWC honors, while for her team, she hopes to help lead the Bulldogs all the way to state.
After high school, she plans to attend Rhodes State College to become a surgical tech.
Congratulations to Devanie on being named this week's spotlight athlete!
